Back in 1973 I started to learn the martial arts and as a direct result I became interested in writing about that subject. Also over the years I additionally became interested in writing short articles on various social topics which, as a further result, got me noticed by both publishers of martial arts magazines and local newspapers alike.
Having been a regular columnist, and also doing some various one-off specials in the past I also did, by invitation, some special write-up reviews on special events and award/presentation evenings, however, being a one-off article writer, regular columnist and a special events review writer did not all come about overnight but over many years that started in the true sense of the word way back in the 1980's.
Although I had created websites in the past to publish my now archived articles on various subjects it was not until 2012 that I started to create websites that had a specific topic theme, and in addition, they were more aimed at being an online learning service or educational in nature.
Although I was never one, by nature, to sit down and write a book on large specific topics, but more a columnist or an article writer in the main, I then realised that my true love of creating websites combined with writing content on various things was the way forward for me, so with that in mind, and also my additional interest in providing written subjects of an educational nature, the first of my 'writing project websites' were published.
The subject of trauma victims, (The Aftershock Awareness Project), started the ball rolling, as they say, in 2012 followed by a learning to write site called 'Pen Arts' that is aimed at those wishing to write creative or formal work, and even maybe, having it published one day.
Following on from those two projects I then turned my attention to the problems that people have when it comes to trying to find work, mainly in the 60 plus age range, and began a very indepth look at surveys and reports on the DWP, (Department of Works and Pensions), jobseekers, jobcentre staff and others involved in this type of work, or situation, which resulted in the Dave’s Report site being published.
Also available is the Create My Web site that is aimed at teaching basic website creation to new beginners in the main. Not a service that teaches website design, I hasten to add, but how to create a simple but effective website that anyone can do in a simple to follow way and how best to add good content.
